Worship Wednesday: Faith for the Season You’re In.

Reading: Isaiah 41:10, Ecclesiastes 3:1, Matthew 11:28-30, Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

Some seasons feel light and joyful. Others feel heavy, uncertain, and stretching in ways we never expected.

There are seasons of growth that feel uncomfortable. Seasons where the responsibilities pile high and the days feel longer than we anticipated. Seasons of waiting, transition, motherhood, marriage, work, healing, or simply trying to hold everything together while quietly wondering if you’re doing any of it well.

And in every one of those seasons, God remains steady.

This week, I found myself needing that reminder deeply — not just in one area of life, but in all of them. In motherhoods. In work. In marriage. In the ordinary weight of everyday responsibilities. I needed the reminder that I do not carry these things alone.

Every Season Has Purpose

Ecclesiastes tells us:

“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

Not every season is meant to feel easy.

Some seasons are for planting. Some are for pruning. Some are for resting. Some are for rebuilding. And sometimes, we find ourselves in seasons that feel unclear altogether.

But even when a season feels overwhelming, it is not without purpose.

God is present in the growing seasons just as much as He is present in the peaceful ones.

You Were Never Meant to Carry It Alone

One of the biggest lies we believe is that strength means carrying everything without struggle.

But Scripture paints a different picture.

In Mathew 11 Jesus says:

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

God never asked us to sustain ourselves apart from Him. He invites us to lean on Him, especially in the seasons where we feel weakest.

Not after we figure everything out.

Not once life becomes manageable again.

Now.

Faith is not pretending things are easy. Faith is trusting that God is still good even when life feels heavy.

Growing Seasons Can Feel Uncomfortable

Growth often comes with stretching.

The seasons where God is refining us are rarely comfortable in the moment. Motherhood stretches us. Marriage stretches us. Responsibility stretches us. Calling stretches us.

But stretching is not abandonment.

God is not distant in the overwhelming seasons. He is shaping us within them.

Sometimes we expect faith to remove difficulty, but often faith becomes the anchor that carries us through it instead.

Don’t Give Up in the Middle

Galatians reminds us:

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” — Galatians 6:9

There are moments when we become weary simply because we’ve been carrying so much for so long. In those moments, it can feel easier to shut down, pull back, or believe the season will never change.

But God’s timing is not wasted timing.

The hard seasons are not permanent.

The uncertain seasons are not forever.

The overwhelming moments will not define your whole story.

God is still working, even here.

Held Through Every Season

In Isaiah, we are offered a promise we can hold tightly to:

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” — Isaiah 41:10

Whatever season you are in right now—whether beautiful, painful, uncertain, stretching, or exhausting—have faith that God will carry you through it.

Not because you are strong enough on your own.

But because He is faithful enough to sustain you.

You do not have to have every answer.

You do not have to carry every burden perfectly.

You do not have to know exactly what comes next.

You only have to keep walking with Him through the season you’re in today.

Reflection for the Week:

What would change if, instead of trying to carry this season on your own, you fully trusted that God is already carrying you through it?
